Custom Glaze Horses
Custom Glaze models (CMG) are kiln fired pieces that are usually one of a kind. Just like repainting plastic models, these models are altered in some way, either by altering the Factory Finish, or by hand creating them in a studio, which gives them a wonderful uniqueness. CMG pieces are rarely done quickly, and often take many firings to achieve the perfect finish. These are fragile, being often made of ceramic, earthenware, or porcelain. But unlike plastic customs, CMG models will not fade color or rub from too much handling.
For the interest of this website, when a horse is marked "hobby horse" this means that it was poured and decorated in my studio, and is from a mass made mold. While these horses are one of a kind, the mold itself is not limited.
The Walking Pony and American Saddlebred molds are old discontinued Levade Molds that I recently acquired the master molds to. Please check each one out individually, as the ears are the biggest difference between them, sometimes forward's, sometimes back. Also, one of the ASB molds is really rough, so the bad hoof is bad. These are mostly pieces that I was testing out colors on, and am offering as a horse shaped object for someone's enjoyment but not really as a collectable or show horse. These two molds are Traditional size, and very nice.
Below are some of the horses I currently have for sale. Please check back regularly, as new horses will be posted from time to time. Click on the picture for more information and more pictures. All models shown are CMG by myself, unless otherwise noted. Thanks!
Any questions, shoot me an email at jscritters2004@gmail.com
